Stopping foreclosure - How to save your house if you've lost your job

For many people who have lost their jobs, the prospect of losing their homes is a major concern - and for good reason. HUD Grants Habitat for Humanity $13 Million for 2009 Homes

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit that seeks to eliminate poor-houses and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat for Humanity builds and rehabilitates simple homes with the help of homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are used to build other Habitat houses.
